Driveways · Madison, WI

Driveways done once, done right.

Residential asphalt driveways, replacements, widenings, and gravel-to-asphalt conversions across the Madison area.

Overview

Driveways in south central Wisconsin

Your driveway takes more abuse than any other surface on your property: freeze and thaw all winter, plow blades scraping it, road salt soaking into it, and a vehicle parked in the same spot every night. Wisconsin driveways fail for predictable reasons, and almost all of them trace back to water in the base. We build residential drives with proper depth, real compaction, and a slope that moves water toward the street instead of toward your garage.

Questions

Driveways FAQs

Can I convert my gravel drive to asphalt?

Yes, and it is one of the most common jobs we do. Gravel drives usually already have some base, though it typically needs regrading and additional aggregate before paving. We check depth and drainage during the estimate.

Will a plow damage new asphalt?

Not if the edges are finished properly and the plow operator keeps the blade shoed. Ask your plow service to run skid shoes and avoid dropping the blade hard on the surface. We finish edges to reduce blade catch.

How long until I can park on it?

Give it 24 to 72 hours before driving on it and about a week before parking in the same spot for long stretches. Avoid turning the wheel while stopped for the first few weeks.
