Asphalt Repair · Madison, WI

Repairs that fix the cause, not the symptom.

Pothole repair, full-depth patching, failed section removal and replacement, and edge repair for driveways and commercial lots.

Overview

Asphalt Repair in south central Wisconsin

A pothole that comes back every spring is not a surface problem. It is water getting into a failed base and freezing. Throwing cold patch at it buys you a few months and nothing more. Real asphalt repair means saw cutting a clean square around the failure, digging out the compromised base, rebuilding it, and then paving back to grade. It costs more than a patch bucket and it lasts years instead of weeks.

Questions

Asphalt Repair FAQs

Is patching worth it or should I just replace?

If failures are isolated and the rest of the surface is sound, patching is far cheaper and completely legitimate. When more than roughly a quarter of the area is failing, replacement usually costs less over the next ten years. We will give you our honest read.

Why do my potholes keep coming back?

Almost always because the base underneath is saturated or was never compacted. Surface patches over a bad base fail within a season or two. Full-depth repair addresses it.

Can repairs be done in cold weather?

Emergency cold patch can be placed year round as a temporary measure. Permanent hot mix repairs need warmer conditions, so we schedule those in season.
